Barbara Weber - Native Americans

Barbara Weber did several pastel indians between 1976 and 1979. Eight were printed in sepia tone but the orininals were all full color. Barbara Weber is interested in finding who owns some of the originals so they can be published in color.

These are only an example the strength and power that Weber demonstrates in her paintings. Unlike most pastel artists, Weber doesn't let the nature of the pastel stick dictate to her how much detail should be in a painting. When she did a series of old men in pastel, she even included the rhum in the eyes.
