Hi. I'm Cheryl Hagedorn and this is my final project for Dr. Peter Vandenberg's graduate class in Composition Theory at DePaul University. Dr. Vandenberg's original description of the project read "personal essay". In class, however, he changed that to include interpretive dance, a website, a short story, short film, whatever.      Although I am a student in the Writing Progam, I make my living as a website designer. So the decision to do a website was a natural. What was not natural was the medium I chose to present my responses - cartoons. I AM a watercolorist which is sort of related to these primitive drawings. I am also a pretty funny person (not that kind of funny -- well, maybe). Anyway, these are a departure for me and I hope a successful one (right, Dr. V.?)      Along the way I found a poem The Blind Men and the Elephant, which sums up what I've been feeling all term.
